Approval Process for E-Flyer Distribution
Below are the steps to request approval for a community flyer to be posted on the School District website and shared with Snoqualmie Valley families.
Guidelines:
- Individuals/organizations must first complete the Request to Post E-Flyer form.
- Dissemination of the information does not reflect the district’s endorsement or sponsorship of the activity or organization. In consideration of the privilege to distribute materials, the Snoqualmie Valley School District shall be held harmless from any cause of action filed in any court or administrative tribunal arising out of the distribution of these materials, including costs, attorney’s fees and judgments or awards.
Therefore, all community materials must contain the following disclaimer statement on the front of their flyer:
“The Snoqualmie Valley School District neither sponsors nor endorses this event and the District assumes no responsibility for it.”
We ask that the finalized flyer with disclaimer be submitted electronically as a pdf file, not to exceed 2 MB in size, for approval consideration. If you don’t have the ability to send your flyer as a pdf, we can scan a hard-copy but often scanning a document reduces its quality.
- Next send the completed Request Form and finalized flyer (with disclaimer) to the Superintendent's office for consideration. Submit materials at least one week ahead of the desired posting date to richterb@svsd410.org with a subject line entitled: E-Flyer Approval Request. Or, if email is not an option, mail or deliver the form with a thumb drive or CD containing the flyer in pdf format to: Snoqualmie Valley School District, Attn: Superintendent’s Office, P.O. Box 400, Snoqualmie, WA 98065.
- The Superintendent or designee shall review and determine whether the materials are approved for distribution to students.
- If approved, the organization will be notified by email. The District will post the notice on the E-Flyers webpage for public viewing, and will notify schools of the addition. Also, Snoqualmie Valley schools will provide a link to E-Flyers from their school websites and parent newsletters via E-News.
NOTE: Snoqualmie Valley Schools no longer distribute hard-copy flyers directly to students in classrooms. However, some schools may still offer flyers in their school offices for walk-in parents, or on a bulletin board. If your flyer has been approved, you may contact a school directly to inquire if they would like additional office copies (usually about 20). Any additional promotion of flyers in schools is at the discretion of the building principal.
