Mobile Learning Initiative

The Instructional Technology Department is pleased to announce a new Mobile Learning Initiative. We believe that the use of mobile devices, like iPads and netbooks, will better engage students in learning and foster skills necessary to succeed in today’s increasingly technology dependent world. Further, technology is most effective when it is embedded within the teaching and learning that occurs every day in our classrooms. One way to accomplish this goal is by supporting smaller, more portable devices as a supplement to our traditional desktop-oriented computer labs. Therefore, we invite groups of teachers at each school to apply for a mobile learning station. Up to 25 mobile learning stations (bundles) will be awarded and deployed this school year.
